To bring this expertise to a wider audience of engaged professionals, the company partnered with edie on a host of activities to demonstrate Centrica Business Solutions' sustainability credentials and provide edie’s audience with solutions to critical challenges acting as roadblocks to sustainability progress.
Beginning with two free business guide reports, on energy finance and biomethane, edie and Centrica Business Solutions’ 2025 partnership expanded to include a webinar on improving energy resilience, an exclusive roundtable for sustainability professionals at edie’s Summer Lunch event and a prestigious collaboration partner profile at edie’s flagship edie 25 event.
These activities helped position Centrica Business Solutions in front of a relevant and engaged audience of sustainability professionals, many of whom were able to benefit from Centrica Business Solutions expertise on energy solutions and to take away new understandings of how to build resilience and finance their sustainability projects.
How would you summarise the current state of play around corporate sustainability and climate action today?
"We view the sustainability space as entering a new “endurance” phase. Businesses that once approached climate action as a sprint are now realising the scale and complexity of the challenge. Many organisations have strategies in place but lack clarity on the order of steps needed to achieve their goals. This has created strong demand for expert partnerships that can turn ambition into practical action."

Why did you decide to start working with edie?
"We originally partnered with edie to complement our own communications and marketing reach. While we have a substantial database and channels of our own, edie provides access to a larger, highly engaged sustainability audience. By leveraging edie’s reputation as a trusted authority in the field, Centrica Business Solutions has been able to connect with stakeholders we would not otherwise have reached.

"To date, around £15m worth of opportunities have been directly attributed to edie-led campaigns, with a much larger figure of £157m influenced overall. These numbers reflect the ability of edie-led activity to generate tangible pipeline opportunities as well as long-term brand impact."
